Easter related Games

Dear parents,

Given the fact that we can’t go out today, due to Covid-19, I will be posting some fun activities that you can play with your children. Hope that you will find these simple activities useful.

Egg and Spoon Race:

All you need for this activity is some plastic Easter eggs and spoons. You can race individually or in a relay-style.

Pin the Tail on the Bunny:

For this activity, you need a bunny and a tail template.

The three rules for this game are: Blindfold (or close eyes), spin around and try to place the tail on the bunny’s tush.

Below, you can find a bunny printable and a tail printable which you can use:

Hungry Bunny bean bag / ball toss:

First, you have to sketch a bunny on a piece of cardboard, and cut out a mouth and a tummy, similar to the image below:

To play, this game, one has to aim the beanbag or ball into the holes.

Instead of beanbags or balls, you can also create simple carrots using felt.

Let me know what games have you played with your little ones. Stay Safe xx

Easter, Educational Games

Easter Number Recognition Game

For this activity, all you have to do is, write the numbers (depending on the numbers that your child is familiar with – you can start from 1-5, then 1-10, then 1- 15, then 1- 20…) on the easter eggs (can also use cups) – you can either place the numbers in order (similar to the picture below) or you can mix up the numbers, depending on how difficult you want this game to be.

Then you have to hide something (e.g. an easter chick, a coin, small chocolate egg..). To play this game, you can either call the numbers yourself and your child has to lift of the correct egg or else your child has to call the numbers and lift the egg until s/he finds the hidden object. You can also take turns e.g. the child picks a number for you.

This is a fun way to practice number recognition.

Easter Egg Craft

This is a simple Easter Egg craft that you can do with the children. All you need is a cereal box, some paint (ideally primary colors), some marbles and a shoe box.

You can also discuss with the children, the oval shape and the fact that new colors are created when the paint is mixed together.

Through this activity, children will also develop their hands-eye coordination and their fine motor skills.

I hope that your children will enjoy this activity.

This Easter Egg Roll Painting is a fun process art activity for young children and a creative way to celebrate the up-coming holiday.
